У даній статті представлений оновлений бюлетень ACOG (Американської колегії акушерів та гінекологів) стосовно захворювань щитоподібної залози під час вагітності.
Як тиреотоксикоз, так і гіпотиреоз пов’язані із несприятливими наслідками при вагітності. Також існує стривоженість щодо впливу маніфестного захворювання щитоподібної залози у матері на розвиток плода. На додаток лікарські засоби, які впливають на щитоподібну залозу матері, можуть проникати крізь плаценту та впливати на щитоподібну залозу плода. У цьому документі наведений огляд патофізіологічних змін, пов’язаних із щитоподібною залозою, можливих під час вагітності, та впливу маніфестного чи субклінічного захворювання щитоподібної залози на наслідки для матері та плода.
