Vitrum^® Kidz and Vitrum^® Junior for the harmonic development of the child

Aim: to investigate levels of microelements (iron, zinc, copper) in blood of children with pneumonia, who often are ill with acute respiratory diseases, and to offer the correction of the detected changes with use of poly-vitamin medication that contains microelements. 

Materials and methods: to detect content of microelements (iron, zinc and copper)in blood of children with pneumonia, that are often ill with acute respiratory diseases (ARI) aged from 3 to 8 years before and after treatment and prophylaxis of ARI with use of poly3vitamin medication that contains microelements (VITRUM^® KIDS). 

Results: in children with pneumonia, who are often ill with ARI, there was disbalance of microelements in blood, that was characterized by decreased levels of iron and zinc on the background of increased copper level. After the conducted protocol treatment of pneumonia normalization of microelements levels was not observed: decreased contents of iron and zinc remained — accordingly in 1.1 and 1.3 times and level of copper was increased in 1.4 times comparatively with normal level. Such disbalance of microelements remained during 3 months after inpatient treatment. 

Conclusions: in children who received prophylaxis of ARI normalization of content of the indicated microelements was observed unlike children, that did not receive it.
