Objective — to evaluate changes in the activity of inflammatory process in frequently ill children and patients with recurrent bronchitis in the non-acute period during the rehabilitation influenced by various therapeutic complexes based on haloaerosoltherapy.
Material and methods. The cytokine profile was studied in 82 children of 6-10 years old, among them 46 frequently ill children and 36 patients with recurrent bronchitis in the non-acute period.
Results. Elevation of the levels of proinflammatory and antiinflammatory cytokines on the background of increased level of circulating immune complexes were detected in frequently ill children and patients with recurrent bronchitis in the non-acute period, which indicates the persistence of the inflammatory process. These changes can have a dismal prognosis and determine the necessity of rehabilitation treatment for this category of children in order to achieve effective reduction of the inflammatory process. The recovery of the main pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokine balance with the circulating immune complexes level normalization, which was observed under the influence of haloaerosoltherapy (18 sessions), indicates the decrease of inflammatory process activity and achievement of certain immunorehabilitation effect. The same effect was achieved after 13 sessions of haloaerosoltherapy with the simultaneous prescription of singlet-oxygen therapy or its combination with vibroacoustic influence.
Conclusions. Rehabilitation treatment on the basis of haloaerosoltherapy promotes decreasing of the inflammatory process activity in frequently ill children and patients with recurrent bronchitis in the non-acute period of disease.
Key words: frequently ill children, recurrent bronchitis, cytokines, haloaerosoltherapy.
