Self-government of medical professions in Ukraine. Current state and legal perspective

Purpose – to study the current state and legal prospects of self-government of medical professions in Ukraine.
Materials and methods. During the research, a number of scientific methods were applied, including general scientific methods, abstraction method, etc.
Results and conclusions. The article considers attempts to introduce self-government of medical professions in Ukraine and their shortcomings. The assessment is given to organizations that Unite representatives of medical professions in Ukraine now. Their legal status and role in the functioning of the modern healthcare system are determined. the latest draft law that was considered in the context of introducing self-government of medical professions in Ukraine is analyzed and evaluated. Similar organizations abroad are considered, and their advantages are determined. Measures to solve the problems that exist at the time of writing are proposed.
