The study found increasing of serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and weakening of endothelium-dependent dilation in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) obese and normal weight compared with the control group. In the group of patients with PCOS as obese and normal weight found correlation between the serum levels of EMAP-II and BMI, HOMA index, lipid metabolism, androgens. Revealed changes may indicate the development of endothelial dysfunction in patients with PCOS and the possible relationship VEGF with these disorders.

Key words: vascular endothelial growth factor, endothelium-dependent dilation, polycystic ovary syndrome, insulin resistance, endothelial dysfunction.
