Unspecific ulcerative colitis in children

The article is devoted to reflection of nonspecific ulcerative colitis problem in children — one of intestinal diseases presenting a serious problem of modern gastroenterology. Definition of the disease, its spreading in different countries worldwide, modern theories touching etiology and pathogenesis of the pathology with reflection of all existing hypothesis of its developing are given in the article. There is quite thorough description of patomorphological changes of the intestinal wall typical for its affection in nonspecific ulcerative colitis in children. Modern classification of disease and description of clinical picture peculiarities reflecting particular complications is presented in the article as well. There are also data touching diagnostic measurements with an accent on differential diagnostic of the disease with pathologies which are similar to ulcerative colitis by their clinical and endoscopic manifestations (Khron's disease). Special attention is paid on dietotherapy as one of the most important components of successful treatment, medicamental correction, indications for surgery and out-patient observation of patients with nonspecific ulcerative colitis.
