The number of congenital malformations in the world is increasing every year. One of the first places occupies by the congenital malformation of the urinary system. The incidence of kidney and ureter duplication is 1:125–150 of live+birth newborns, more often in girls, and in 20–40% of cases is bilateral. It can be complete (ureter duplex) and incomplete (ureter fissus). It has often asymptomatical course and is diagnosed accidentally or only after the manifestation of various complications. A clinical case of successful laparoscopic heminephrureterectomy in a girl with a congenital malformation of the urinary system is described, namely the right kidney complete duplication with ectopic ureteric orifice in the external genital organs and permanent urinary incontinence. The child recovered after minimally invasive radical surgery.
Key words: congenital malformation, terminal ureterohydronephrosis, laparoscopic heminephrureterectomy, kidney duplication, ectopia, ureter, urinary incontinence.
