The relevance of the study is due to the need to substantiate the process of bullying in the adolescent environment.
Aim – to conduct a theoretical analysis of scientific sources that reveal the features of a comprehensive study of bullying as a social, psychological and pedagogical problem among Ukrainian adolescents aged 15-16.
Manifestations of bullying are mockery, kicking, beating, pushing, cyberbullying and others. The main psychological consequences of bullying (for all participants in bullying) are considered to be physical injuries, fears, manifestations of anger, low self-esteem, feelings of inferiority, defenselessness, loss of self-respect, lack of formation of social values, a tendency to loneliness, deviant behavior, the formation of destructive, asocial personality traits, deterioration in academic performance. The causes of bullying are the individual psychological properties of adolescents (low level of empathy, tendency to aggression, the need to assert themselves). Family factors: lack of attention, authoritarian, indifferent upbringing style, conflicts contribute to the emergence of bullying. The educational space (educational institutions) need a more effective level of control and effective mechanisms for responding to bullying cases. Cyberbullying is actively spreading in the digital space due to anonymity, speed of information transmission and difficulties in controlling it.
The complex impact of bullying on both victims and aggressors and observers is emphasized. Pedagogical aspects of bullying of Ukrainian adolescents aged 15-16 years are focused on the role of the educational environment in preventing and responding to cases of bullying. It is necessary to create a safe psychological climate in educational institutions. The formation of socio-emotional skills in adolescents – students of education is the basis for the implementation of systematic preventive measures in the educational environment.
The authors declare the absence of a conflict of interest.
