Significant psycho-emotional stress predominance of negative emotions during prolonged action may form subdepresive changes neuroses, psychopathy, which in turn create the basis for development of psychosomatic changes. Uterine leiomyoma – a benign tumor of the reproductive system, but detecting it as in early, as in late reproductive age, especially when unrealized or partially unrealized reproductive function of necessity viewed from the perspective of psychotrauma that mentally experienced and can be accompanied by anxiety, fear, phobia.

The aim was to study changes in emotional state and quality of women’s life with uterine leiomyoma in different reproduktive period.

Materials and methods to achieve this goal were conducted a comprehensive study of women with uterine leiomyoma. Psychosomatic change and quality of life were studied by questionnaire – SUN, Hessen’sk questionnaire of somatic complaints (GBB), to identify and study levels of anxiety and depression differential diagnosis were used techniques of Taylor and Dung and methods K. Hek and Y.H. Hess, assessment of quality of life (QOL) was studied on a scale SF-36 (Short-Form Health Survey).

Results. Changes emotional state of patients with uterine leiomyoma depends on the reproductive age, disease duration and effectiveness of treatment of the underlying disease. In early women of reproductive age changes of emotional state, evidenced in the changing mood in stable health and activity, as characterized by functional somatic symptoms. For patients late reproductive age characterized by changes in mood, feeling and partial reduction of activity; also manifest psychosomatic changes evidenced by a significant percentage «of complaints intensity» and «exhaustion». Patients of the late reproductive age with uterine leiomyoma were detected very high, high and medium level of anxiety with a tendency to high at 97.9%, in contrast to the first group of patients where very high and high levels detected in 41.37% .For patients with leiomyoma in the reproductive age characterized by masked depression (34.48%) and mild depression neurotic origin (44.83%). For patients late reproductive age with uterine leiomyoma is typical truly depression (35.4%) and masked depression (47.9%). The level of psycopatology was significantly higher compared to the first group of patients that can be explained by disease duration, periodic deterioration (pain, bleeding, dysfunction of other organs) and ineffective therapy. Quality of life of patients with uterine leiomyoma much suffering, especially the emotional component, ie those patients prone to mood changes, changes in the occurrence of depressive, anxiety, whereas the physical health component are average.
