The results of prevention of placental dysfunction in pregnant women with arterial hypertension in conditions of iodine deficiency are presented.
The objective: was to reduce the frequency of PD in pregnant women under conditions of iodine deficiency against the background of hypertension on the basis of studying the peculiarities of the formation and functional state of the fetoplacental complex through the development and implementation of a complex of therapeutic and prophylactic measures.
Materials and methods. 100 pregnant women living in conditions of iodine deficiency were screened. Among them 70 women with hypertension constitute a high-risk group with respect to the development of PD. All patients were divided into the following groups: І group – 30 pregnant women who received the usual medical and prophylactic measures in order to prevent PD; The second group – 40 pregnant women who received the developed method of prevention of PD. The control group included 30 healthy pregnant women living in conditions of endemic iodine deficiency, born for the first time, without somatic pathology, born through natural birth lines.
Results. As a result of the conducted studies, it has been established that the formation and functional state of the fetoplacental complex in pregnant women, with a high risk of placental dysfunction, is characterized by a significant level of violations of the functional state of the fetus, the placenta, against the background of pronounced hemodynamic and endocrinological disorders.
Conclusion. The use of the proposed therapeutic and prophylactic technique allows reducing the incidence of placental dysfunction, the threat of abortion, premature birth, delayed fetal growth in pregnant women in conditions of iodine deficiency against the background of arterial hypertension.
Key words: natural iodine deficiency, arterial hypertension, placental dysfunction, endocrine function of the fetoplacental complex, prevention of placental dysfunction.
