Objective. To present the results of the vaginal microbiocenosis study in women with uterine leiomyoma and inflammatory diseases of the genital organs; to optimize the prevention and treatment of inflammatory changes of the genital organs in fertile aged women with these pathologies.
Material and methods. We examined 150 fertile aged women, who were divided into three groups: I group — 50 women with leiomyoma of the uterus, who received the proposed treatment and prevention measures, the second group — 50 women with leiomyoma of uterus who were administered conventional therapy and the third group comprised 50 healthy women. Bacteriological tests were conducted to assess the species and quantitative composition of vaginal microflora in women after the treatment course of the disorders of autonomic nervous system. Microbiological analyses and recording of the results were carried out in accordance with the Order No. 535 of the Ministry of Health of the USSR, 1985 and the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No.234 dated May 10, 2007. For prevention and treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of genital organs exacerbations and in the complex preconception preparation of women with leiomyoma of the uterus, the vaginal suppositories of Api-Norm were administered.
Results. The study of the microbiocenosis changes of the genital tract in women with uterine leiomyoma, who received the vaginal suppository «Api-Norm» in the complex anti-inflammatory therapy, indicated a positive dynamics of opportunistic pathogens and other infectious agents contamination of the genital tract after the treatment compared to the group of women with leiomyoma of uterus, who administered conventional therapy. After the preventive and curative interventions the vaginal biocenosis indicators of patients with uterine leiomyoma, who received the vaginal suppository «Api-Norm» in the complex anti-inflammatory therapy, approached to those of the healthy women. In women with uterine leiomyoma, who prescribed conventional therapy, the vaginal biocenosis indicators after treatment changed less actively and some indicators required the appointment of a refresher cours of treatment.
Conclusions. There is an increase of opportunistic microflora in women of fertile age with uterine leiomyoma, which leads to the development of inflammatory processes of the reproductive organs. Increased contamination of the genital organs by the pathogenic and opportunistic microflora in case of inflammatory diseases requires complex treatment. The inclusion of the vaginal suppositories «Api-Norm» to the complex therapy of inflammatory changes of female genital organs and further prevention of the onset or exacerbation of inflammatory diseases has shown its high efficiency.
