Prenatal diagnosis and pregnancy outcome in maternal-fetal human platelet antigens immunological conflict

Grebinichenko G. A.

SI «Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, NAMS of Ukraine», Kiev

A comparative analysis of course and outcome of two subsequent pregnancies in a couple with negative HPA-1a-genotype in woman (HPA-1b/b) and homozygous positive HPA-1a-genotype in men (HPA-1a/a) according to clinical, ultrasonic, pathohistological data is given. Problems of pregnancy management in cases of maternal-fetal immunological conflict caused by human platelet antigens in Ukraine are outlined.

Key words: fetal/neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, fetal/neonatal intracranial hemorrhage, human platelet antigens, alloimmune antiplatelet antibodies.
