This review highlights the epidemiological, clinical and diagnostic aspects of the pilonidal sinus. It was analyzed the modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of this pathology and revealed the problematic issues of relapse of the disease.
Key words: pilonidal sinus, surgical treatment, coloproctology.
