In a review article shows the route of entry and the role of vitamin D in the human body. To date the vitamin D deficiency is common to the majority of human population. The medicines that used to correct hypovitaminosis D, in the market of Ukraine, are presented in the form of oil and water solutions of vitamin D, as well as vitamin D-containing vitamin complexes.
Key words: vitamin D, metabolism, vitamin deficiency, prevention, treatment.
