Aim – to conduct a theoretical analysis of scientific sources describing the development of the personality and psyche of Ukrainian adolescents aged 14-16.
The development of the personality and psyche of Ukrainian adolescents aged 14-16 is determined by individual and psychological factors, the process of mental self-regulation, the presence of self-control skills, personal maturity and life experience, adaptive potential and personal adaptive resources. The environment, military operations, natural disasters, catastrophes also play an important role in the development of the personality and psyche of Ukrainian adolescents. In the adolescent period, inhibitory processes are strengthened. At the same time, the second signaling system develops more intensively. The mental activity of adolescents aged 14-16 increases in the process of development of the nervous system of this category of children, which proves the presence of a process of increasing the ability of adolescents to regulate their own behavior in all areas of life. Specialists working with this category of children believe that the development of the personality of Ukrainian adolescents aged 14-16 is decisive. An important role in this process is played by the psychomotor development of this category of children, which affects the psyche of Ukrainian adolescents. Specialists (pediatricians, social workers, teachers, occupational therapists) emphasize the need to rely on the development of the structural features of adolescents aged 14-16 in educational and educational activities. These are the following: abilities, character traits and the presence of value orientations of Ukrainian adolescents. The personal development of adolescents depends on interaction with the adult environment. In the process of personality development of adolescents, their adaptation to the social conditions of existence occurs. For adolescents aged 14-16, it is necessary to avoid bullying in the process of educational activities. If bullying in adolescents who have survived military actions is superimposed on the primary traumatic experience, secondary psychotraumatization occurs.
Due to the state of constant threat, the processes of psychological recovery are stopped. It is necessary to conduct psychological interventions to restore the mental and psychological health of adolescents.
The authors declare the absence of a conflict of interest.
