Мother’s nutrition as an indicator of metabolic control of pregnancy

The article provides current data on the effect of maternal nutrition on the course and outcome of pregnancy. The negative impact of both undernutrition and overnutrition on the course of pregnancy and the health of offspring was noted. The role of a number of metabolic markers at the onset of labor and the degree of maturity of the fetus. The ways of correction of revealed violations of metabolic control of pregnancy are proposed.
