The aim of the study: was to investigate the levels of some non-enzymatic antioxidants in the blood serum of patients with epithelial ovarian cystadenomas of nonendometrioid origin.

Materials and methods. It were observed 190 women of reproductive age, of which 60 women with ovarian serous cystadenomas, 60 persons – with mucinous cystadenomas, 40 patients – with follicular cysts, 30 – control group. The serum levels of retinol, a-tocopherol and ceruloplasmin were determined by using spectrophotometric methods.

Results. It was found that in patients with epithelial cystadenomas of nonendometrioid origin it were reduced serum levels of non-enzymatic antioxidants such as retinol, a-tocopherol, ceruloplasmin, among which ceruloplasmin is the most sensitive indicator of decrease in antioxidant activity.

Conclusions. Reduced serum levels of non-enzymatic antioxidants in patients with epithelial cystadenoma of nonendometrioid origin requires further research to determine the feasibility of a non-enzymatic antioxidant therapy in the rehabilitation of patients after surgery.

Key words: epithelial ovarian cystadenomas, antioxidant system, non-enzymatic antioxidants, retinol, a-tocopherol, ceruloplasmin.
