Background diagnosis of Cushing’s syndrome is associated with multifaceted clinical manifestations of this disease, which leads to the fact that patients are initially treated to a variety of specialists. This requires extensive information about the features of the flow of the disease, and algorithms for the primary examination of patients to be able to detect and referred to an endocrinologist for definitive diagnosis and tactics. We offer a review of the management of «The diagnosis of Cuching’s syndrome: the An Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guideline», The Endocrine Society, 2008, which shows the algorithms, which are primarily based on laboratory testing – assessing the level of cortisol. The material is formed on the basis of this manual and reflects the opinion of experts of the endocrine community.
