Histogenesis of complications of pregnancy and childbirth in women with metabolic syndrome and obesity

In the article on the basis of clinical and statistical analysis we determined the frequency and pattern of obstetric and perinatal complications in women with metabolic syndrome and obesity. It is established that the leading role in the development of pregnancy complications and childbirth are disorders of angiogenesis processes with reduced branching of blood vessels and reduced vascularization of the placental villi. The severity of morphological and immunohistochemical changes correlated with the body mass index of pregnant women and the incidence of obstetric complications.
