Objective: to explore specific indices of local humoral immunity in children with and without undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia via comparison of clinical features.
Material and methods. The evaluation of clinical status and results of immunoenzymatic assay of mixed saliva in 53 children, observed at the medical center «Dobrobut», was conducted.
Results. Analyzing the immunoassay of mixed saliva in children with undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia, the lower levels of interleukin-4, interleukin-10, total IgA, complement C3 component were detected, and the higher overall IgG level in apparently healthy children was observed.
Conclusions. The conducted study showed that children with clinical manifestations of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia have the reduced potential of humoral arm of local immunity, which needs an additional correction.
Key words: children, undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia, local immunity, cytokines, immunoglobulins.
