Despite sufficient experimental base on the use of ivy extracts to treat acute inflammatory diseases of the lower airways accompanied by cough, understudied question remains as to the time beginning mucolytic therapy in patients with acute bronchitis and bronchitis symptoms impact on health and quality the lives of children for the disease. We have selected 72 children aged 2–10 years who had symptoms of acute bronchitis and divided them into 2 groups. First group included children who received monotherapy with the extract of ivy in age doses and acetaminophen in case of hyperthermia on the first day of illness; the second group consisted of children, who were sick for 4–5 days, and turned with the deterioration. Purpose the ivy extract from the firs day of illnes to children with acute bronchitis, possible will achieve an early dry heavy coughing transfering to less intensive and wet in 5 days and make shorter the duration of illness into 10–12 days; it also reduced the duration of hyperthermia and have positive effect to the overall health of patients and their daily affairs.
