Correlative interactions of organochlorine pesticides content in the different biosubstrates of mother and fetus in conditions of background pollution in crimean region

Objective: definition and correlation analysis of concentration distribution in the different biosubstrates.

 

 

Patients and methods. A total of 35 «mother — newborn» pairs without deviations in delivery were examined. The content of organochlorine pesticide dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane and its metabolites, hexachlorocyclohexane and its isomers, hexachlorobenzene in 5 biosubstrates (maternal venous blood, umbilical cord blood, hair, placenta and mother's breast milk) are determined by gas chromatography.

 

Results. It is shown not only a high detection of organochlorine pesticides in all biosubstrates but statistically significant correlation interactions between their concentrations in different and also in the similarly-named biosubstrates.

 

Conclusions. Maximum number of correlations were found between biosubstrates «venous blood — breast milk», «venous blood — mothers hair», «blue blood — the blood of the umbilical cord. «For several pairs of comparison was shown the absence of significant correlations of organochlorine pesticides.
