Goal. Explore clinical features of chronic gastroduodenitis in children with undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia.
Materials and methods. We examined 48 patients with chronic gastroduodenitis aged 11–18 years having undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia. The chronic gastroduodenitis diagnosis was being verified based on the anamnesis, clinical examination, and results of fiber exophagy dual gastro endoscopy. Undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia was being verified according to the criteria by Milkovska-Dimitrova T. in Abakumova's L.N. version.
Results. The chronic gastroduodenitis in children diagnosed for undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia has an early onset with yearly seasonal exacerbation, and is featured by moderate abdominal pain symptom with expressed indications of non-specific intoxication, dyspeptic symptoms, and symptoms of vegetative dysfunction. (90.9%) of such children have insuffucuency of the intestinal valve and sphincter mechanism, and visceroptosis.
Conclusion. In undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia, involvement of the digestive system in the pathological process occurs more often than in clinical evidences which are featured by failure of mesenchymal smooth muscle fibers and weakening of peripheral innervation when the pain threshold is reduced and timely diagnosis is complicated by inflammation. Our results prove the need for careful examination of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia patients having minimum indication of clinical symptoms of lesions of the upper GIT aimed at early diagnosis and adequate treatment of the undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia.
Key words: children, chronic gastroduodenitis, undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia.
