Clinical effect of the Kuplaton use for the complex treatment of the intestinal colic in infants

Aim of the study was to evaluate effect and clinical safety of the Kuplaton in complex treatment of the intestinal colic in infants. 

Мaterials and methods. Under the investigation we checked 45 infants that passed treatment at the Vinnitsya regional childrens clinical hospital. The age of the babies was 11,5 (4; 22) weeks. Under the control was 26 (57,8±3,9)% boys and 19 (42,2±3,9) % girls. 

Results. Mostly intestinal colics and regurgitation were occurred in kids of the second months of life, after the third months their frequence decreased and almost disappeared up to the age of 6 months, mainly in boys. Its found that at the background of the Kuplaton use more quickly was treated colic and regurgitation syndromes. According to the parents questionnaires kids that received Kuplaton became more calm at the 5–6 day of the treatment. Better effect of the meteorism treatment was achieved in a group that used Kuplaton as well. At the 14 day of the treatment major part of the patients was passed with clinical sign of the disorder. 

Conclusion. Using of the Kuplaton demonstrated high effect (84,0±2,3)% and quick result of the colic and regurgitation treatment in infants.
