The Aim: to study clinical features of benign tumor-like formations of ovaries, the role of sonological diagnostics in the diagnosis of ovarian tumor formation.

Materials and Methods: the study involved 134 patients with ovarian tumor formation, the control group – 50 women gynecological and somatically healthy.

Results: 55.22% of cystiform formation of ovaries detected in late reproductive age, to 69.93% occur with concurrent gynecologic pathology. Clinically, 60.44% of patients had pain, 35.07% – menstrual disorders, 4.49% erased clinical picture. 46% of cysts were not diagnosed during the specialized gynecological examination. In patients with ovarian cysts ultrasound determined pathology of the myometrium, endometrium, changes in the contralateral ovary.

Conclusion: the lack of characteristic clinical picture, results of gynecological and sonological studies leads to underdiagnosis of tumor-like formations of ovaries, development of chronicity and recurrence of the process, which is accompanied by a decrease in reproductive potential. Application of ultrasound in 100% helps to determine the presence of ovarian tumor formation, and in 51.49% of patients types the character of formation.

Key words: ovarian tumor-like formations, reproductive age, ultrasound.
