In the clinical lecture that was proposed by practical doctor, were opened modern scientific data on the importance of adipose tissue as an endocrine organ and its main hormone – leptin not only in the case of "diseases of civilization": diabetes mellitus of the second type, obesity, coronary heart disease, atherosclerotic manifestations, metabolic syndrome, but also disorders of the women`s reproductive function. Keeping patients on an interdisciplinary level, together with the endocrinologist to clarify the impact of the regulatory mechanism of leptin and how it will normalize reproductive function of women.
Key words: obesity, leptin, insulin resistance, impaired reproductive function.
