Scientific researches and scientific staff training in the field of “Palliative Care and Hospice“

The aim of the work was theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of pedagogical conditions of formation of palliative competence of medical students during the professional training. The term of „palliative competence of medical students” at first was introduced in the scientific revolution in the Ukraine. Analysis of current research on this subject and practice of training future physicians allow identified the following pedagogical conditions of formation of palliative competence of students: the formation of motivational sphere, aimed at internalization of professional values; organization of personality-oriented training of medical students, based on the humanization of interaction of subjects of educational process and the development of their moral qualities; the construction of the content of educational material on palliative care as a situational tasks designed adequate competencies, inculcation of ethical skills during the preclinical years, the use of modern innovative technologies of the future development of communication skills of health workers; activation of volunteer activities, mentoring, and social position of young people during the training of medical students. The implementation in practice these teaching conditions in different forms, methods, technologies of training and education contribute to the efficiency of the process of formation of palliative competence of nurses, paramedics and midwives.
