The role of mаcroelements in immune response in allergic pathology in children

Purpose — to estimate Ca, P, Mg, immunoglobulins levels in serum blood and their correlations in children with allergic diseases.

Patients and methods. Laboratory diagnostics has been used in investigation of children. There have been 125 children observed aged from 6 months to 3 years.

Results. According to the results of examination it has been found normal levels of Mg, P and Ca in serum blood in children with allergic tendency and atopic dermatitis. Decreased level of Mg in serum blood of children with atopic dermatitis (significant difference, р<0.005) and slightly decreased one in children with allergic tendency (significant difference, р<0.05) is revealed in comparison with the same levels in control group. The level of P in serum blood of children with allergic tendency (р<0.005) and AD (р<0.05) was reliably higher rather than in healthy children; at the same time this level was reliably higher among children of main group (р<0.005) rather than in children with atopic genotypic. By this, unidirectional changes of Mg and P in serum blood of children with allergic tendency and in case of realization of the allergic tendency into allergic disease (atopic dermatitis) are marked in children with atopic dermatitis. Unlike Mg and P levels in children with allergic tendency the level of Ca is not changed in comparison with healthy children (p>0.05). Fulfilled investigations have revealed direct correlations between P and Ca levels and total IgE and IL-4 and reversed correlation between Mg level and immunologic indexes and their dynamics in children with both congenital allergic tendency on pre&nosologic stage and atopic dermatitis demonstrating participating of these factors in all phases of allergic inflammation.

Conclusion. Taking into account everything listed, it is considered to be reasonable to make macroelementary homeostasis correction in order to prevent transformation of tendency into the disease.

Key words: allergy, children, microelements, immune status.
