The prevalence of atopic dermatitis among children is high due to the anatomical and physiological characteristics of a one-year-old child and the nature of the immune response of the organism. Nowadays atopic dermatitis is considered as a chronic inflammatory disease of skin, accompanied by itching and impaired gastrointestinal function. The difficulty of the treatment of atopic dermatitis is determined by polyfactorial causes and mechanisms of pathogenesis. Since the disease is chronic, treatment should be performed in incremental steps and in a continuous manner. Antihistamines, which are recognized by standard therapy and are recommended in all treatment protocols, take an important place in the treatment of atopic dermatitis among systemic effect means. The article describes the experience of clinical application of desloratadine sirup (preparation «Lordes», Nobel) in children with atopic dermatitis. High therapeutic efficacy and high drug tolerability were shown that allows to recommend it for treatment of atopic dermatitis in children.
