The article deals with the peculiarities of the main indicators of homeostasis dynamics in pregnancy progress from the point of view of hemodilution and it’s physiological significance also depending on the presence of vomiting and nausea in first trimester.
The objective: to determine the features of homeostasis in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, depending on the presence of vomiting and nausea.
Materials and methods. 109 primigravidas were examined, which were divided into 2 groups – 58 patients of group I had nausea and vomiting in first pregnancy trimester, 51 participants of the II group had uncomplicated course of the first pregnancy trimester. In all pregnant women in terms of 10–11 and 20–21 weeks mean homeostasis parameters were determined – haemoglobin and haematocrit concentration, concentration of protein metabolism products.
Results. Already at the end of the first trimester of pregnancy signs of hemodilution are observed in both groups of pregnant women, but the second group is distinguished by a larger proportion of patients with delay in this process. In the dynamics of the progression of pregnancy, the phenomenon of hemodilution increases, which is manifested by a decrease in the number of hematocrit and a slight decrease in the concentration of total protein, but in the group of women with uncomplicated course of the first trimester of pregnancy these changes are less pronounced.
Conclusion. 1. Vomiting and nausea in first pregnancy trimester do not have a negative effect on the main indicators of homeostasis, which at the end of the first trimester of pregnancy do not differ from the group of healthy pregnant women. 2. In the group of women with uncomplicated course of the first pregnancy trimester, when compared with pregnant women who had nausea and vomiting, the phenomenon of insufficient hemodilation was more widespread. In terms of 20–-21 weeks, in this group a higher average hematocrit index was detected, which undermined the concept of inadequate adaptation to pregnancy.
Key words: hemoglobin, hematocrit, protein metabolism, early gestosis.
