Проаналізовано взаємозв’язок між масою тіла жінок при народженні та розвитком у майбутньому гінекологічних захворювань чи відхилень у становленні репродуктивної системи, розвитку онкологічних захворювань та строків настання менопаузи. Представлені результати клінічних досліджень, які проводили у різні часи у різних країнах світу, що висвітлюють тему даної статті.
Огляд світової літератури, представлений у статті, обґрунтовує актуальність проведення відповідних досліджень в українській популяції.
Ключові слова: низька маса тіла при народженні, велика маса тіла при народженні, гінекологічна патологія.
