Проблема регуляції народжуваності особливо актуальна, коли рівень штучного переривання вагітності залишається високим і призводить до негативних наслідків для здоров’я жінки. У даній статті наводяться результати численних публікацій сучасної контрацептивної стратегії, які засновані на більш широкому застосуванні засобів для контрацепції, а в разі їхньої недостатньої ефективності застосування сучасних методів переривання вагітності.

Представлена більш висока прихильність і ефективність засобів пролонгованої оборотної контрацепції в порівнянні з комбінованими оральним контрацептивами.
