Purpose: to study the vitamin D provision of the first year infants with a rickets and who are having an obesity

Patients and methods: there were observed 36 children in age from 2-12 months, who were having the rickets clinical features. They were divided into groups according to the physical development index: the main group consist of 18 patients, the comparison group consist of 18 children with the physical development index corresponded to the age norms. The control group consist of 15 healthy children. There were evaluated the clinical-anamnestic researches and the concentration determining 25(OH)D of the blood serum.

Results: it was set that the blood level reduction 25(OH)D had the main group of children (72.2%),so as the comparison group of children (64.7%). The analysis of the hydroxyvitamin D medium level in a blood serum fixed the lower levels of the main group of children (р<0.05).When comparing the data as for the vitamin D provision that depending on the physical children's development with an obesity had an (р<0.05) index.

Conclusion: At present days the leading role in the rickets pathogenesis among first year children plays not only an exogenous vitamin D deficiency but also its metabolism features under the influence of the risk factors of the endogenous origin, one of which is possibly an obesity.

Key words: a rickets, an obesity, early age children, hydroxyvitamin D
