The epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in children in Ukraine and ways to improve TB care to children

State organization «National institute of phthisiology and pulmonology named by F.G. Yanovsky National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine», Kiev, Ukraine 

according to WHO estimates, refers to the 18 countries of the European region with a high prevalence of tuberculosis (a high-priority countries – HPC). The article presents the analysis of the main epidemiologic indicators of tuberculosis in children in Ukraine. Marked increase in the incidence of children in 2013 to 7% in comparison with the previous year and the deterioration of the structure of the clinical forms of tuberculosis in children. Identifies the main reasons for the negative dynamics of indicators, the necessary measures to stabilize the epidemic situation and improve the diagnosis of tuberculosis in children .
