The course of gestational process in pregnant women with lack or deficiency of vitamin D.

The article presents data on the current views on the role of vitamin D in providing various functions and, in particular, the role of vitamin D deficiency in the development of pregnancy complications. The study of vitamin D in the blood serum of pregnant women showed a lack of vitamin D in 82.5% of pregnant women with different body mass index, and a deficiency of vitamin D (rate 25 (OH) D less than 20 ng / ml) – every third pregnant this category. Established in the present diversity of functions of vitamin D, on the one hand, and the presence of a number of obstetric and perinatal complications associated with its deficiency in the body, on the other hand, require screening and targeted screening of pregnant women for vitamin D in serum with its subsequent correction.
