Successful laparoscopic nephrectomy in an infant with left-sided end-stage hydronephrosis

A clinical case of successful treatment of an infant with congenital defect of the urinary system – hydronephrosis of the left kidney, III grade, complicated with secondary chronic pyelonephritis, is presented in the article. The identification of a disease was made by means of ultrasonography of the retroperitoneal space, excretory urography, renal scintigraphy, and computed tomography. A surgical treatment was provided, namely laparoscopic nephrectomy. Result of surgical correction is positive.
