Solving the problem of combining mixed infections with the human papilloma virus

The objective: to determine the effectiveness of treatment of mixed infections in the female reproductive system predominantly chlamydial ethiology in combination with human papillomavirus (HPV) and herpes simplex virus (HSV) using sodium oxodihydroacridinilacetate (Overin®).
Materials and methods. Under supervision were 60 patients with laboratory-confirmed mixed infection of the reproductive system: chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, HPV, HSV. The main group of 35 patients received a complex of ethiotropic therapy with sodium oxodihydroacridinilacetate (Overin®). A comparison group of 25 patients received a course of ethiotropic therapy without the use of immunomodulating drugs.
Results. In the main group after the course of therapy: the control results of chlamydial infection are negative in 94.3% of patients, mycoplasma in 100%, ureaplasma in 100% of cases. Negative results of HPV in 91.5% of patients, HSV 82.9% of patients. In the comparison group: negative results of chlamydial infection in 80.0% of patients, mycoplasma 96.0%, ureaplasma 92.0%, HPV negative in 42.0% of patients, HSV in 36.0% of patients. Patients of the comparison group were subsequently followed by an additional course of therapy.
Conclusion. Overin® demonstrates the high effectiveness of therapy for chronic infections of the female reproductive system, including chlamydia as a separate disease, and in the presence of viral associations. In cases of a combination of chlamydial infection with HPV and HSV, including HPV of highly oncogenic types, Overin® can serve as a means of choosing therapy in combination with antibiotic therapy.
