The study of specific anti-RSV antibodies levels in the blood serum of infants.

26

Summary: 41 infants aged 0–10 months were evaluated for the presence of А, М,G immunoglobulins specific for respiratory-syncytial virus (RSV). These in-patients were treated for acute respiratory infections, such as bronchitis, obstructive bronchitis and pneumonia. The levels of specific IgM and IgA were extremely low which can be considered as their absence. There were rather high levels of serum specific IgG detected. In the case of their depletion during the disease course we can evaluate them as maternal antibodies. There was increase of the IgG antibodies observed in some cases nevertheless 4-fold increase as the marker of IgG antibodies production by child's organism was never observed. These findings indicate the imperfection of antibody response of infants of the first months of life to the RSV. This fenomenon can explain the severe course of the RSV infection in infants.

Key words: respiratory-syncytial virus, newborns, infants, specific antibodies.

Ways of prevention the allergic diseases for children.

50

Summаry. Incessant growth of allergic diseases for children requires the search of effective facilities of prophylaxis, especially for children from families with the burdened allergic anamnesis. The effective measure of suppression is the early and protracted pectoral feeding of baby. The discussions on the prophylactic setting of pre- or probiotics for children from the group of risk have been started. Obvious is a necessity of application of prоbiotics for children which do not get human milk, taking into account their ability to modify composition of intestinal flora for the balanced stimulation of the immune system and to diminishing of frequency of allergic pathology.

Functional state of cardiovascular system in children born from parents exposed to radiation in childhood and adolescence.

58

Summary. An ultrasonic and ECG examination has been carried out in 198 children and adolescents born from parents exposed to radiation in their childhood and adolescence. Their cardiovascular system parameters have been compared with those of 111 age-mates from Kharkiv population without irradiation in their anamneses. Obtained data indicate a significant rate of cardiovascular deviations such as sinus arrhythmia, bradycardia, derangement of repolarization processes, congenital structural abnormalities of heart with a prevalence of multiple aberrant cords, organic changes in mitral valve cusps and mitral valve prolapse. Requirement of a more intensive regular medical check-up and physical training of this contingent has been substantiated.

Summary. In order to improve the prevention of osteoarthrosis in adolescents, the clinic manifestations and anomalies in basic pathogenetic links of reactive arthritis have been analysed. The used methods were: clinical, immunological, biochemical, affected articulations radiography, ultrasonography, retrospective analysis of case histories. The prognostic significance of several factors of secondary osteoarthrosis formation in adolescents with reactive arthritis has been examined. It has been established that negative evidences of degenerative changes development in articulations of such patients were: ' inflammatory process duration, the degree of its intensity, ethiological factor, abnormalities in immune homeostasis such as a decrease in general T-lymphocytes level due to T-helpers, an increase in phagocytic activity, a hyperproduction of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-6 and FNO-a), an activation of proteolytic enzymes (collagen, elastase) and a decrease in their inhibitors activities.
