The objective: to evaluate the clinical efficacy and prevention of recurrence of bacterial vaginosis and urogenital disorders in patients in the perimenopausal period with Laktagel.

Patients and methods. The study involved 50 women from 49 to 56 years old in the perimenopausal period, with clinical and laboratory evidence of bacterial vaginosis, the pH-meters to the purpose of basic therapy (metronidazole, clindamycin) with the inclusion of the drug Laktogel, 7 days and 3 months after application Laktagel. Menopausal hormone therapy, lipid-lowering and antihypertensive drugs was included in the therapy in women with expressed climacteric syndrome.

Results. Using the basic therapy with Laktagel helps to restore the vaginal microecology, which is accompanied by the disappearance of the clinical manifestations of bacterial vaginosis, normalization of pH, and contributes to the effective prevention of relapses, and a comprehensive approach to reproductive aging – improving the quality of life.

Conclusion. Practitioners obstetricians, representing the pathogenesis of bacterial vaginosis and associated violations, especially in situations where the pathological condition has not completely pathognomonic clinical and laboratory evidence, should timely detect alkalization of vaginal environment by pH test. Given the high efficiency of Laktagel in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and the prevention of its recurrence, recommended its use for restoring the vaginal biotope.

Key words: bacterial vaginosis, perimenopausal period, Laktagel.
