On the question of formation of bowel eubiosis during the artifical infant feefing

Objective. To evaluate the clinical efficacy and impact on the state of intestinal microbiocenosis of the mixture «Bellakt BIFIDO 1» with the probiotic Bifidobacterium lactis BB-12 in infants of the first six months of life. 

Patients and methods. Under observation in the outpatient setting were 30 apparently healthy children who were under early bottle-feeding. During the period of examination from the diet of children were excluded other dairy breast milk substitutes and also biobased products with the content of prebiotic and/or probiotic cultures. The daily volume of reconstituted dry mixture «Bellakt BIFIDO 1» was responded to the age of the child. In dynamics was evaluated the subjective attitude towards the product, clinical tolerability mixture anthropometric data of children. Quantitative bacteriological analysis of feces was performed two times. A period of observation was 30 days. 

Results. Dynamic clinical observation and the results of microbiological studies have shown that the inclusion of mixture «Bellakt bifida 1» to the diet had a positive effect on the children's body and helped to normalize intestinal microbiocenosis. In the setting of the use of the mixture was marked the increase of bifido- and lactobacterial concentration and inhabitation of the growth of conditionally pathogenic flora (Staphylococcus aureus). The product has good organoleptic properties. The high nutritional value pointed at a steady increase in body weight in observed children. 

Conclusions. Dry milk infant formula «Bellakt BIFIDO 1» is a well balanced and harmless product with the protective properties for the children from the first days of life.
