Morbidity and mortality from cervical cancer in the Central region of the Azerbaijan Republic

In the structure of cervical cancer in women in the Central region of the Republic of Azerbaijan noted a relatively high level of incidence of the nosology. Thus, the region-wide indicators extensiveness and intensity of disease was 7.9% and 7.0%, respectively. Revealed significant fluctuations depending on the prevalence areas-from 7.2% to 76.4% (a difference of more than 10 times). Starting with the age group 30–39 years there has been a significant increase in the incidence, which is the highest value in the age group 50–59 years (3.0 % ). Region-wide standardized incidence rate of cervical cancer regardless of age was 6.9%. Marked by high levels of mortality rates (7.2–10.0%) and aggression (0,7 or above) in a number of administrative districts of the region.
