The article presents the features of sensitization to primary and cross-reactive components of plant allergens, a list of allergen proteins, the most often involved in the reactions of cross-reactivity. The determination of sensitization to the specific plant allergen and the introduction into clinical practice of a diagnostic component offer the opportunity to predict the probability of developing allergy symptoms, the occurrence of cross-reactions, the risk of their development, to designate optimal elimination measures, and to increase the efficiency of allergen_specific immunotherapy.
Key words: pollinosis, cross_reactivity food allergy, molecular diagnostic, allergen proteins, children.
