International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) offers a complete list of generally known concepts for describing the functioning, life activity and health in people with all of diseases and conditions, provides for the possibility of combining both medical and social model of the disease. This classification makes it possible to implement in practice the concept of social pediatrics that conceptually provides adaptation and integration into soci1 ety of a child with disabilities. Thanks ICF during the development of individual rehabilitation program, emphasis is placed on the daily needs of the child. This will increase the level of motivation in performance of goals to achieving the best success in the formation of new self1help skills. Using the ICF during com1 prehensive medical and social rehabilitation allows us to understand that the life activity and participation of the patient can be improved, even if the degree of structural damage remains unchanged.
