Introduction. Chronic colostasis as one of the actual problems in modern pediatric surgery and gastroenterology often occurs in children with congenital malformation of a large intestine; dolichosigmoid takes place here in 25–40% of sick children.


Object is to choose a tactician in treatment of increased intraperitoneal pressure in children with chronic colostasis.


Materials and methods. The basic group was consisted of 25 children with chronic colostasis at the age from 7 to 17 who were treated in 2012–2016; 9 patients of whom had dolichosigmoid and 16 had dolichocolon. There were 13 boys and 12 girls. The control group was consisted of 24 healthy volunteers.


Results of the research. Chronic colostasis is characterized with a substantial excess of sizes in intraperitoneal pressure and forming of abdominal ischemia. Given complex of conservative measures the aim of which was to normalize the defecation, improved indexes of intraperitoneal pressure and circulation of blood in the abdominal cavity at the moment of discharging, due to the reduction of compression in the vessel wall.


Conclusions. The higher intraperitoneal pressure and the more debilitated child’s organism are the higher possibility of development of objectionable complication is. The addition of preparation Cuplaton® which has a significant effect of defoaming to the complex of conservative treatment of chronic colostasis in children, contributes to the reduction of intraperitoneal pressure and normalizing of bloodstream indexes in the abdominal cavity.
