The urgency of the problem of rational pharmacotherapy of inflammatory diseases of the pharynx in children is due to the widespread prevalence of this pathology. Diagnosis of acute tonsillofaringitis in children involves differentiation into probable viral and bacterial (including β-hemolytic streptococcus group A) etiology with an appropriate antimicrobial therapy algorithm. Currently, in the otorhinolaryngology, trends in the use of topical therapy, especially in childhood, prevail. The use of lysozyme-containing drug Lysobact is an effective and safe means of local therapy for acute inflammatory diseases of the oropharynx of various etiologies in children.

Key words: pharyngitis, children, tonsillofaringitis, lysozyme, Lysobact.
