Features of the course and differential diagnosis in infants with chronic diarrhea

In the article, there have been studied clinical manifestations and morphological features of gastrointestinal lesion in children of early age with chronic diarrhea. It is revealed that the cause of chronic diarrhea is the onset of acute gastroenteritis in the past, lactase deficiency, inflammatory bowel diseases, celiac disease, cystic fibrosis, allergic enteropathy. In patients with chronic diarrhea, the inflammatory process with infiltration of eosinophils, activation of local humoral (increased expression of IgA and IgE), and cellular (expression of D68) immunity was revealed, that testify the delayed hypersensitivity reaction.
