Bokavirus infection in children younger with bronchoobstructive syndrome

The aim of our study was to identify bokavirusu in young children with bronchial obstructive syndrome (obstructive bronchitis and exacerbation of asthma). The study involved 50 children aged 3 months to 6 years. The average age of patients was 36.3±2.46 months. Bokavirus was identified in 44% of children. In 38% as mono infection and in 6% of cases in conjunction with other acute respiratory viral infection. Most HBoV-1 was identified in children 1–3 years. Detection of virus occurred all year round. Most HBoV-1 — infection proceeded against the background of normal temperature (68.2%) and without severe catarrhal phenomena. Duration of bronchial obstruction syndrome in the background HBoV-1 was significantly higher in children with obstructive bronchitis compared with patients with asthma (2.8±0.20 vs 4.0±0.42 days, p=0.027). The survey confirms a significant role in causing infection bokavirusnoyi bronchial obstruction syndrome in children.
