Гіпотиреоз у дітей (лекція для педіатрів та лікарів загальної практики)

Зниження функціональної активності щитоподібної залози негативно впливає на ріст, фізичний і нервово-психічний розвиток дитини, формування її інтелекту, активність обміну речовин та енергії. Малоспецифічна та стерта клінічна симптоматика гіпотиреозу часто призводить до пізньої діагностики, що знижує ефективність терапії. На особливу увагу заслуговують вроджені і субклінічні форми набутого гіпотиреозу у дітей як найбільш часті прояви тиреоїдної гіпофункції. Знання симптомів, методів первинної діагностики і можливостей сучасної терапії педіатрами та лікарями загальної практики є необхідною умовою своєчасного виявлення випадків гіпотиреозу у дитячій популяції та їх адекватної корекції.
Ключові слова: гіпотиреоз, діти, діагностика, лікування.
