Менингококковая инфекция у детей

Neisseria meningitidis — один из основных возбудителей гнойных менингитов в Украине и в мире. Клинические проявления менингококковой инфекции варьируют от транзиторной лихорадки с бактериемией до фулминантных форм менингококцемии с летальным исходом через несколько от начала начала заболевания. Современные достижения включают новые данные о патогенезе заболевания, улучшение ранней диагностики и профилактики инфекции. Профилактика является основным подходом в снижении заболеваемости и смертности от менингококковой инфекции. Доступность иммунопрофилактики всех основных серогруп возбудителя позволяет существенно снизить количество тяжелых форм заболевания у детей.
