Based on the analysis of contemporary scientific literature, the data about the peculiarities of psychological status of patients prior to the operation and in the postoperative period are clarified in the article. The most informative methodologies for investigation of the psychological status of patients are determined (such as Spielberger—Khanin Anxiety Scale and Beck's depression inventory).
